Furnace Family delivers trusted residential HVAC services for Alberta homes in Calgary and Edmonton. As part of the ATCO family of brands, our certified technicians handle everything from quick repairs to full system installations, backed by honest pricing and dependable service every step of the way.
We are currently seeking a motivated and dependable Journeyman Residential Electrician to support our growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect residential electrical systems to identify faults, hazards, and non-compliance issues
- Diagnose issues such as: Power outages or circuit failures, tripping breakers or blown fuses, faulty wiring, outlets, or panels
- Repair and replace: Switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures, breakers, panels, and subpanels, damaged or outdated wiring
- Address emergency calls (loss of power, burning smells, exposed wiring hazards)
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to code
- Install or upgrade: Electrical panels and service upgrades (100A → 200A, etc.), lighting systems (indoor, outdoor, pot lights), EV chargers and dedicated circuits, smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors
- Modernize older homes to meet current electrical standards
- Conduct electrical safety inspections (home sales, insurance, aging systems)
- Identify potential risks such as: Aluminum wiring, panel capacity issues, overloaded circuits
- Recommend preventative upgrades to avoid future failures or hazards
- Ensure all work complies with: Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and local/provincial regulations
- Follow strict safety practices, including lockout/tagout procedures
Qualifications:
- 3 - 5+ years of residential electrical experience
- Thorough knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)
- Valid Journeyman Electrician certification (Red Seal preferred)
- Provincial electrical license
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to handle multiple tasks during busy periods
- Strong work ethic with an entrepreneurial, can‑do attitude
- Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities
- Assist HVAC installers and technicians with residential system installations and replacements
- Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and materials to job sites
- Help with removal and cleanup of old equipment and material
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite
- Follow safety procedures and company standards at all times
- Provide professional and respectful service when interacting with homeowners
Qualifications:
- Previous HVAC is an asset (but not required)
- Interest in pursuing a career in the HVAC trades

We are currently seeking a motivated and dependable Residential Plumbing and Drainage Service Technicians to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect plumbing systems to identify issues (leaks, blockages, pressure problems)
- Perform repairs on faucets, toilets, sinks, and fixtures, water heaters (tank and tankless) and piping systems
- Recommend repair/replacement options
- Install plumbing fixtures and equipment: toilets, sinks, faucets, showers, garburators, sump pumps, backwater valves
- Assist or complete hot water tank/tankless installations
- Upgrade outdated or non-compliant plumbing systems to current code
- Perform annual plumbing inspections
- Flush water heaters and maintain equipment
- Conduct routine drain maintenance to prevent blockages
- Identify upsell opportunities for maintenance plans or upgrades
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4-years’ experience in residential plumbing and drainage service
- Residential plumbing experience is required
- Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to troubleshoot on plumbing and drainage systems
- Sump pump experience an asset
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to handle multiple tasks during busy periods
- Strong work ethic with an entrepreneurial, can‑do attitude

We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Residential HVAC Installer to join our team.
Scope of work generally includes the following, but can also include a wide variety of other tasks and responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Install residential HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, and related equipment
- Remove and dispose of old systems in accordance with safety and environmental guidelines
- Ensure installations meet manufacturer specifications, safety codes, and company standards
- Perform start-ups, testing, and basic system commissioning
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional worksite
- Provide homeowners with clear education on system operation and care
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Residential HVAC Installer (required)
- Gasfitter, Sheet Metal, or Refrigeration ticket considered a strong asset
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to manage multiple priorities during peak and high‑volume periods
- Exceptional customer service skills and a professional, respectful approach with homeowners
- Strong work ethic with an entrepreneurial, can‑do attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
