Heat Pumps

Whole House Heat Pumps

Don’t let the name fool you. A heat pump, when matched with an air handler, is an excellent alternative for both heating and cooling your home. Just think of a heat pump as a heat transporter, extracting warm air from your home during the summer, and reversing operation to bring warm air in during the winter. Though it may be difficult to believe there’s enough warmth in outdoor air during the winter to heat your home. A year-round home comfort solution, a heat pump and air handler system is particularly effective in moderate to warmer regions of the country, and does a fine job of maintaining comfortable indoor temperatures and humidity levels.

The most important thing a company has is its reputation. Furnace Family stands behind all of our work and our great staff.

Got Questions?

That’s like asking what a car costs. There are many different models and features as well as code upgrades certain homes need. A very good “ballpark price”  for a base model for $4500 to $5000, the better model $5500 to $6000 and of course the best model $6000 to $6800. These are great starting numbers. Jobs can be $500 lower or up to $1,000 higher depending on code upgrades.  Our estimates are always free. All of our home comfort advisers are previous installers not “just sales people” they will advise you on the best choice.

We offer both Lennox and Daikin brands of furnaces.

We carry both Lennox and Daikin. Furnace Family believes these are two of the best available brands. The most important part of the equation is not the brand but the installer, 80% of furnace failures are caused by a poor initial installation. As a company our workforce is experienced and we provide continual training. Our lifetime warranty on installations (labor and materials) speaks for itself. We stand behind our installations.

All companies have different levels of overhead – what they pay for insurance, staff training, vehicles, fuel, and more). Some small companies may have lower overhead and charge less, but that same company who gives you the “cheap” quote may not be as sustainable – and what happens if they’re not around in 5 years when you need a service call or emergency repair?

Our crew will show up between 8 and 9 am. They will go over the job and make sure all is as discussed with the homeowner. The install takes 4 to 8 hours depending on the level of difficulty, once completed we need our customer at home to have our techs explain the new system so you understand the operation and finish up the billing paperwork.
